As of February 8th, 2023, the death toll of the earthquake surpassed 12,000, making it one of the deadliest natural disasters in recent history. The earthquake, thought to have originated from the East Anatolian fault system, had its epicentre near Gaziantep in southern Turkey and was recorded as a 7.8-magnitude quake. Some seismologists even consider this as a separate earthquake.
While rescue efforts continue, LBank announced that it will continue to support those affected by providing necessary relief materials and medical supplies.
